The link building strategy is called Backlinks. This is a very old Google ranking factor. It should be from Relevant and good ranking websites.
But low-quality backlinks affect website rankings badly. In addition, Google can completely remove the website from search results. These links show poor link building strategies on the site.
Do you want to remove toxic backlinks from your website?
Backlinks are a very important ranking factor. This helps improve search rankings. But low quality backlinks greatly affect your site ranking. In such a situation, it is the right decision to remove bad backlinks from the site.
Today in this article I will tell you how to remove Bad Backlinks from a website using Google Disavow Tool.
Why you should remove Bad Backlinks from website
If the number of backlinks on the site is high, the ranking is also more likely. But all this changed after Google’s Penguin release. Google started penalizing websites with unnatural backlinks (Spam backlinks).
Although you can get immediate results by buying backlinks, it also has the opposite effect later. You may face a Google penalty. Because such backlinks include low quality and pornographic site links.
And low-quality backlinks have more impact on the website. They can eat your entire website.
So, if you want to get rid of the Google penalty, remove bad backlinks from your site.
How to Find Spam Backlinks in Website
Here I will use three tools to find bad backlinks:
First, go to the SEMrush Backlink Audit page
Add the URL of your site. It will audit backlinks on your site.
After this, click on “Audit”. As you can see the screenshot below.
It will show Toxic backlinks with a score (60–100 – Toxic, 45–59 – Potentially Toxic). Select the Toxic backlinks from the list that you want to remove.
Then click Delete >> To Disavow.
Now go to the Disavow tab and click Export to TXT.
Your disavow file will start downloading.
Using the Google Search Console Tool
This is a manual process and will take you a lot of time.
First, log into the Google Search Console tool, then click on Link >> Top linking sites >> More. Here you will see sites that have linked to your site and are giving you backlinks. You can see it in the screenshot below.
Now you have to check it yourself whether there is any spam link in it. If you find Spam, unrelated or unnatural links in this list, write them in your notepad.
Using Moz Explorer
First, go to the Moz Link Explorer site and sign up.
Add the URL of the site and click on the search icon.
Now click on Spam Score in the left side. Now you will be able to see the list of Spam backlinks. If you have a free account, it will show you a few links. You must upgrade it to see all the links.
Now, click on Export CSV to download the result.
